Victor Graziano Past Council Chairman (PCC) Victor Graziano of New Jersey joined Lionism in 1971 at the suggestion by one of his life insurance clients who urged him to become a Lion. PCC Graziano was at the point in his successful career where he wanted to give back to the community that had so generously supported him. His life in Lionism has been very rewarding. He has served as Zone Chairman, Regional Chairman and as secretary to the District Governor twice. He was also elected as President of Fairview Lions Club. In 1994, PCC Graziano become District Governor and in 2004 he served as Council Chairman. He joined the Eye Bank Board of Trustees in 2000. As a Contracts Administrator for the County of Bergen’s Department of Community Development, PCC Graziano assists in the development and monitoring of grant agreements for municipalities and non-profits. The two regions assigned to PCC Graziano’s team concentrates on parks, sewer and infrastructure programs for low-moderate income geographic areas. |

PCS Paul H. Sheridan PCS Paul H. Sheridan became a Lion in 1974 and was elected to the Eye Bank Board of Trustees in 1999. He has served the Eye Bank on the Executive, Personnel, Budget and Finance, Long Range Planning and Constitution and By-Laws Committees. He served as a President of the Laurel Lions Club District 22-D after serving as Director, Secretary, Treasurer and Vice President (1st, 2nd and 3rd). He has served his local club on numerous committees. Lion Paul has held the positions of Delaware’s District 22-D Cabinet Secretary, Sight First Chairman, Zone Chairman, Region Chairman and Membership Chairman and served on its Constitution and By-Laws Committee. He is a Melvin Jones Fellow; 100% Secretary, Treasurer and President; PID Polgar Fellow; Ralph Helm Fellow and James A. McCarty Fellow. He was presented with the Knights of the Blind International President Appreciation award and is a recipient of the District Governors’ Appreciation Certificate. |

Jim Quirk, B.S., CEBT President/Chief Operating Officer Jim Quirk began his eye banking career as the Technical Operations Manager at the Medical Eye Bank of Delaware, which subsequently merged with the Lions Eye Bank of Delaware Valley (LEBDV). At LEBDV, he has also held the positions of Quality Assurance Director and Serology Lab Supervisor. He was appointed by Delaware’s Governor to serve as a member of the state’s Organ and Tissue Donor Awareness Board. He was also an appointed member of the Pennsylvania Organ Donation Advisory Committee to the Governor and a member of New Jersey’s Coalition on Donation. Jim serves on EBAA’s Accreditation Board as Vice Chairman and on EBAA’s Finance Committee. |

Gene S. Polgar, CEBT Eugene S. “Gene” Polgar served a two-year term as a Director of The International Association of Lions Clubs following his election at the Association’s 78th International Convention in 1995. A member of the Whitehall Lions Club since 1965, Past International Director Polgar has held many positions within the Association, including Club President, District Governor and Cabinet Secretary-Treasurer. He also served as Chairman of his district’s Membership, Extension, Convention and Leadership Committees. He served as a Board Appointee in 1997-98, as Treasurer of the USA/Canada Lions Leadership Forum from 1999 to 2002 and 2004 to 2009 and as Chairman of the 2005 USA/Canada Lions Leadership Forum Planning Committee. He was also the 2005-2006 Advisor and Long Range Planning Committee Chairman. PID Polgar has received numerous awards in recognition of his contributions to the Association, including 100% District Governor Award, nine Extension Awards, seven International President’s Certificates of Appreciation, the Leadership Award, five International President’s Medals and the Ambassador of Goodwill Award, the highest honor the Association bestows upon its members. He is also a Progressive Melvin Jones Fellow-6 Diamond. In addition to his Lions activities, PID Polgar has served as Chairman of the Constitution and By-Laws Committee, Heise Award Committee and Ad Hoc Committee of the Eye Bank Association of America (EBAA). He has been cited on several occasions for his eye bank activities and other civic endeavors. He is the recipient of the Heise Award, the highest honor given by the EBAA. Most recently, he received the Visionary of the Year Award from the Lions Eye Bank of New Jersey/Midwest Eye Banks. |

Bob Lytle, CEBT Robert Lytle joined the Eye Bank as a full-time recovery technician in 1988. He previously worked in social work and pharmaceutical sales. Bob has been the Eye Bank’s Technical Director for 20 years. He has helped guide the Eye Bank through expansion to include, most recently, the provision of partial thickness corneal tissue for application in an enhanced transplant procedure called DSAEK (Descemet’s Stripping Automated Endothelial Keratoplasty.) He has coordinated several international humanitarian missions to provide eye services to those unable to access care. Since 2008, through the efforts of his department, 12 Eye Banks have provided tissue to volunteer ophthalmic surgeons who travelled internationally to bring improved vision to underserved populations. Bob has participated in research studies and the development of scientific papers with the University of Pennsylvania and Wills Eye Institute. He also served on the Exam Committee of the Eye Bank Association of America. A native of Maryland, Bob graduated college in the United Kingdom. |
