If you work in a hospital, nursing home or hospice setting, you have probably experienced the death of a patient and you may have had one or several experience with Eye Donation. The Lions Eye Bank of Delaware Valley is the designated Eye Bank for southern New Jersey, Delaware and southeast Pennsylvania. We are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to provide recovery, education and information services on all aspects of the Eye Donation process. Our Marketing and Development Department can provide you with in-services and information for both medical staff and the general public.

Recent News
The Department of Health and Human Services, Health Resources and Services Administration and Health Care Financing Administration have created a publication entitled “Roles and Training in the Donation Process: A Resource Guide.” Developed with guidance from donor families and a multi-disciplinary team of transplant and other healthcare professionals, this guide offers support to hospitals in implementing the training provisions of current legislation. The current legislation, which took effect on August 21, 1998, was a revision of the Medicare and Medicaid Hospital Conditions of Participation designed to facilitate an increase in organ, tissue and eye donation.
